Alex Poatan responds to Jahamal Hill's 'kindness' and suggests 'chasing' UFC light heavyweight champion

After being mentioned by the leader of his new category, Brazilian responds to a message from a possible rival

Quoted by the current light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.), Jamahal hill, after confirming your migration to the group, Alex Poatán decided to respond. By means of 'stories' in your profile on Instagram, the former middleweight leader (up to 83,9kg.) countered the North American star. The Brazilian will seek to repeat his success in the old category among fighters with greater physical strength.

“I’m coming and I’ll kick in your door,” Poatan wrote.

Brazilian MMA star, Poatan confirmed his change of category days after being dethroned at middleweight in a rematch with Israel adesanya. On UFC 287, the Nigerian scored the first positive result against the Brazilian in four engagements in combat sports.

At the top of the light heavyweight division since January 2023, Jamahal hill won the title after overcoming Glover Teixeira. Despite the expectation of measuring forces with Alex, the North American must have Jiri Prochazka as the first challenger for the belt.
