After Donald Cerrone's nomination to the Hall of Fame, Dana White praises 'Cowboy'

The UFC president praised the American's successful career and his enormous contribution to the organization and the sport

The indication of Donald Cerrone to the UFC Hall of Fame crowned the brilliant career of the former lightweight title challenger (up to 70,3kg). At the press conference after the event last Saturday (25), Ultimate president Dana White praised the American and praised his contribution to the organization and the sport.

“We love 'Cowboy.' When you look at what he meant to the WEC and then he came here and what he meant to the UFC, what he meant to the sport as a whole, and he's a great human being too, so it's a win for everyone,” said Dana.

The president of Ultimate reinforced that Cerrone did not know that his family would be in San Antonio and emphasized all the affection he feels for the 'Cowboy'.

“We flew with his family. He also didn't know his family was here. We tried to bring his grandmother here too, but in terms of health it didn't work. She wanted to come. She tried everything to try and make it happen. We were even going to bring someone with her to accompany her on the trip, but we weren't able to do that. We love the guy and we are happy for him”, concluded the Ultimate president.

Professional in MMA from 2006 to 2022, Donald became a true favorite of the North American fans. Always willing to fight, the North American ended his career in the sport with 55 fights, having won 36 triumphs and 17 setbacks.
