Lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.) since the victory over Patricky Pitbull in 2022, Usman Nurmagomedov is ready for his first title defense at Bellator 292. This Friday (10), in San Jose (USA), Khabib's cousin puts his title on the line against Ben henderson and kick off the 'Grand Prix' (GP) of the category. In total, the show has 12 scheduled fights.
In addition to the group's throne, Nurmagomedov has more to defend on the show. Against the former UFC star, the Russian seeks to reach the mark of 17 consecutive victories and maintain his unbeaten record in professional MMA.
In the co-main fight, Tofiq Musayev and Alexandr Shabliy have an important clash. Inserted in the lightweight GP, the athletes seek a positive result to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament.
Brazil will have a representative at the show. With an eye on a future title fight at welterweight (up to 77,1kg.), Goiti Yamauchi measures forces with the company's 'darling', Michael Paige.

Trained by the legendary Khabib Nurmagomedov, Usman wants to expand the legacy in the division that once belonged to Patrício and Patricky Pitbull. To do this, the athlete needs to cancel out the 39-year-old veteran and remain at the top of the group.
The winner of the main fight, in addition to taking the top spot in the category, advances to the semifinals of the group tournament.
