Rafael dos Anjos is fighting with athletes in the light weight division (up to 70,3kg). Ninth in the rankings, the Brazilian claims to be having difficulty finding an opponent to fight in the UFC and denounces supposed 'protection' of possible rivals in his positions, including in the top category, welterweight (up to 77kg.). The outburst was made on his account on 'Twitter'.

“It's so hard to get a fight nowadays... Cowards (who are) hiding behind the rankings”, said Dos Anjos on his official account on the platform.

Although he was angry with the current athletes in the category, Dos Anjos also accepted a suggestion from a fan, who suggested Dustin poirier in his welterweight debut. The Brazilian reposted and tried to tag the North American in the publication.

Rafael dos Anjos, 38 years old, had a good performance in his last appearance against Bryan Barbarena, in December last year. The former champion submitted his rival and, as a bonus, became the first fighter to break the 8h mark in the octagon and equalized Demian Maia as a Brazilian with the most fights in the organization.
