Alex Poatan gives priority to Israel Adesanya, but considers title fight against Robert Whittaker

Brazilian opens up to other possibilities and does not rule out facing Australian if Nigerian refuses a rematch

Middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.), Alex Poatán He still doesn't have his next step defined for his first UFC title defense. The Brazilian revealed that he gives priority to the rematch against Israel adesanya, but it also doesn't rule out making the 'queue move' and coming face to face with Robert whittaker.

“Adesanya was a dominant champion so he has the preference to be fighting for the belt again, but if he doesn't want to, it will be Whittaker. I don't think they're going to put anyone else in there other than Whittaker. He's already said that his game doesn't fit well with Adesanya, but it would be a good fight with me, so I'll be ready for both,” said Poatan in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.
