After Brandon Moreno become the new UFC flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg) by beating Deiveson Figueiredo No. UFC 283, his coach, Sayif Saud, revealed that the Mexican suffered a serious injury while training for the quadrilogy. Leader of the 'Fortis MMA' gym, he added that despite the difficulties, the athlete did everything he could to remain active in his preparation.

“Brandon hurt his knee pretty bad. We had to keep it a secret, no one knew about it. In addition to the physical problems, he also became very ill. It was a very bad flu for two weeks. He would do a round, stop to blow his nose, and keep moving forward. Every time he remained positive, he was very strong. I had to keep him safe because he wanted to go through the walls. A lot happened in this preparation”, said Sayif to the podcast 'The MMA Hour'.
