Doubts regarding the participation or not of Gregory Robocop at UFC Rio they didn't last long. One day after revealing the departure of Brad Tavares, the Brazilian's original opponent, in the event due to injury, the entry of Brunno Hulk was announced to face his compatriot. The information was initially reported by the North American website “MMA Fighting”.
Hired through the last season of the “Contender Series”, in September, when he knocked out Leon Aliu, Brunno Hulk makes his official UFC debut. The Brazilian from Evolucion Thai arrives at the event undefeated in his career, with nine wins in nine fights. Furthermore, Hulk never reached the judges' decision, with six victories by knockout and three by submission, seven of them in the first round.

Former LFA champion, Gregory Robocop he debuted in the UFC in 2021 and is off to a great start in the organization, with four wins in five fights. The only defeat occurred in a split decision by the judges against Armen petrosyan, in February 2022, but, since then, the Brazilian has already scored two consecutive victories.
O UFC 283, which marks the organization's return to Rio de Janeiro, is led by the dispute for the vacant light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg) between Glover Teixeira e Jamahal hill. The event also promotes the first quadrilogy in the history of Ultimate, between Deiveson Figueiredo e Brandon Moreno, meaning the unification of the linear and interim flyweight belts (up to 56,7kg).
