Former UFC interim lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg), Dustin poirier decided to give his opinion on the long-awaited confrontation between Islam makhachev e Alexander Volkanovsky. With an eye on the confirmed title fight for the UFC 284, the organization's star gave his opinion on the favorite for the clash. In addition to analyzing the fight, the North American did not rule out accepting a possible substitute, in case of unforeseen circumstances with the protagonists.

“I think Volkanovski will be a little small at lightweight, but he can still win. I believe he can still do his job. He (Alexander) beat some great featherweight representatives (up to 65,7kg). It hit Max Holloway a few times (three). However, I think he will be at a size disadvantage when compared to Islam. Islam is great, firm and strong”, said Poirier, in an interview with 'brobible'.
