This Saturday's show is not isolated in cases of unforeseen events along with highlights of the main clashes

This Saturday (10), MMA fans will meet the new UFC light heavyweight (up to 93kg) champion. O UFC 282, however, presents viewers Jan Blachowicz e Magomed Ankalayev, who took the lead on the eve of the show. The weekend's spectacle, however, is not isolated as an event losing its big stars.

In the case of UFC 282, Jiri Prochazka e Glover Teixeira they would do the main fight in a rematch for the throne of the under-93kg category. A serious injury to the Czech, who was holding the title, caused the clash to be left off the schedule, in addition to vacating the group's belt.

Marked by controversy, the UFC 279, which took place on September 10th, is in history for its confusion outside the Octagon. In addition to widespread confusion, responsible for canceling the traditional press conference, the show ended up losing its main fight.

Initially, Nate diaz would stop the last presentation of his contract with the UFC in front of the 'bogeyman' Khamzat Shimaev. On the eve of the show, however, the Swede failed to make the weight cut badly, which forced the company to rearrange its main fights.

Finally, the 'bad boy' ended up facing fellow veteran Tony Ferguson. Chimaev, in turn, faced Kevin holland.

Known by many as the 'dream fight','Khabib Nurmagomedov x Tony Ferguson' never got off the ground. The athletes, however, had five confirmed clashes and, ironically, all of them were cancelled.

The last time the Russian and the North American were on the verge of facing each other was in 2020. In April of that season, the 'bogeyman' would face off against the then lightweight champion (under 70,3kg).

At that time, the world was suffering the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. With Russian borders closed, Khabib was unable to travel to the United States to face Tony.

Without the champion's availability, Ultimate decided to create the interim lightweight title, promoting Justin gaethje as Ferguson's opponent. In the confrontation, better for the 'substitute', who brutalized the veteran and won the belt.

Considered one of the greatest rivalries in the history of MMA, the story between Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier went beyond the limits of the octagon and came to life outside the cage. Big names in the UFC, the athletes had three clashes cancelled.

The first of these took place in 2014, when the fighters would face off for the first time, but the clash at UFC 178 ended up leaving the event due to a knee injury.Bones'.

In 2016, it was time for an injury to take DC out of action. On the eve of UFC 197, Daniel was removed from the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) title fight and replaced by Ovince St Preux, who ended up being surpassed by Jon.

The stars of the up to 93kg category. they would have a new fight confirmed for UFC 200, but Jones ended up caught in an anti-doping test. Jon was replaced by Anderson Silva in a confrontation not valid for the title.

UFC 153, or UFC Rio 3, has a special flavor for Brazilian fans. In a card scheduled to take place in October 2012, José Aldo would be the main attraction. The man from Manaus, at the time, reigned in the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg) and would defend his title against the legendary Frankie Edgar in front of his fans.

On the eve of the show, Aldo ended up suffering a foot injury and was cut from the program. In this case, the North American was also removed from the show and it was up to Anderson Silva taking the lead and accepting, at the last minute, a clash against Stephan bonnar in light heavyweights.

At the time, Silva was the leader in the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg) and, in front of an enthusiastic crowd, he shone by knocking out his rival in the first round with an undeniable performance.
