In terms of weight, Blachowicz and Ankalaev confirm a title fight at UFC 282; Brazilian goes beyond limit

Everything is fine for the main fight of the UFC 282, which takes place this Saturday (10), in Las Vegas (USA). Protagonists of the event, Jan Blachowicz e Magomed Ankalayev they passed the challenge with the scales and confirmed the dispute for the vacant light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg.).

With the opportunity to retake the category throne, lost in 2021, when it was surpassed by Glover Teixeira, Blachowicz went through the challenge without any major problems. At 92,7kg, the Pole is ready for the fight.

In his first title fight in Ultimate, Magomed Ankalayev confirmed the commitment. Representative of the Russian, the athlete scored 92,9kg.

Brazilian failure and fight canceled

Scheduled to face compatriot and debutant Vinicius Salvador, Daniel Miojo exceeded the flyweight limit (up to 56,7kg.). Hanging with three consecutive defeats, the athlete lost around 1,4kg. above what is required, even exceeding the pound (454g.) tolerance.

Moments after the end of the official weigh-in, it was confirmed that Daniel was not authorized by the medical team to continue on the schedule. Thus, the Brazilian duel ended up cancelled.
