Hospitalized with a bacterial infection, via staphylococci, Dustin poirier shocked internet users this Tuesday (6). On social media, the UFC star posted a frightening image of his left foot with considerable swelling. The fighter confirmed that he will remain hospitalized for treatment.

“What is this?” Poirier wrote.

The drama involving the former interim lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) in Ultimate was confirmed last Monday (5). On social media, the fighter had admitted that he would remain under medical care for eventual improvement.

An Ultimate icon for years, Poirier has been in action recently. In November, the fighter was one of the highlights of the UFC 281, when he fought a real battle against Michael chandler, beating his rival by submission in the third round.
