In the main fight UFC Las Vegas 62, last Saturday (15), Alexa grasso showed that he moved up to the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg) to be a protagonist. In her first five-round experience, the Mexican defeated the Brazilian Viviane Araujo and added her fourth consecutive victory in the category, remaining undefeated since leaving the strawweight division (up to 52,1kg).

Despite the great record, Grasso opted for a more “down to earth” stance when asked about the possibility of fighting for the division title, belonging to the dominant champion Valentina Shevchenko.

The Mexican revealed that she prefers to be tested once again in a five-round fight and mentioned the duel between Katlyn chookagian e Manon Fiorot, who will face each other next Saturday (22), as the source of their next challenge.

“I don’t know (about the title fight). Like I said, I have to wait. This fight (Chookagian x Fiorot) is also important, as a semi-final. I definitely faced a big challenge for the first time, a 25-minute fight. I would like to have one more main fight, maybe with one of the two, or with the second place. Someone who is at the top. I would like to test myself again, one more time, 25 minutes, before fighting for the title. But if I have to fight for the belt, I will,” said Grasso.
