Flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg.), Deiveson Figueiredo prepares for the unprecedented quadrilogy against Brandon Moreno, scheduled to take place in UFC 283, on January 21, 2023, an event that marks the organization’s return to Rio de Janeiro.
However, contrary to what was initially predicted, Deiveson will not sharpen his game in 'Kick Boxing', in São Paulo, with Diego Lima. In an exclusive interview with the SUPER FIGHTS no 'YouTube', the man from Pará states that he keeps the doors open for training periods at the gym in his final stretch of preparation, but reports that his family has not adapted well to the state.

“São Paulo is incredible. All I wanted most was to be there. But my wife and son didn't adapt to the cold. My wife asked to go back. And, man, I didn't want to lock my son up in a different location. (The partnership) came to an end, it didn't. I kept in touch with Diego (Lima) and said that I would do the entire camp in Belém. But that closer to the fight I would go there. It’s my idea, I can’t change it,” said Deiveson.
Still talking about the period in which he was at 'Chute Boxe', Figueiredo reveals that he did not have the opportunity to train with Charles of the Bronx. He also says that he only trained with the team a few times and needed a place where he could only focus on training.
“When I was there, Charles was off. He wasn't training. It was still in negotiations to fight with the Russian (Islam makhachev). I stayed there for a month, but I hardly trained. If I did three or four training sessions, it was a lot. More for the climate. I found things very far away in São Paulo, with a lot of media too. At the moment it's not what I want. I needed a place where I could just focus on training,” he concluded.
The unprecedented quadrilogy marks the tiebreaker between the rivals and the unification of the category belts. In the three meetings, there was already a victory for Deiveson, another for Moreno and a draw between the athletes. The clash was announced as a highlight in the UFC 283, which takes place on January 21st, in Rio de Janeiro.
