“I don’t miss fighting at all. I never liked fighting. I liked the freedom that fighting gave me, the money, the wealth, the health, because being a professional athlete means having a healthy lifestyle, even though it is very dangerous. Access to things most people don't have. That's why I fought. I fought to have that freedom. Now I am retired and have no more stress. I am the happiest man on the planet”, declared GSP.

Georges St-Pierre was UFC welterweight champion on two occasions. In the second of these, he successfully defended the title nine consecutive times before announcing his retirement in 2013. Four years later, he returned to win the middleweight title by submitting Michael Bisping before retiring from the sport again.
