Fighters make weight and confirm semi-finals of the PFL welterweight and heavyweight tournaments

The eight semifinalists stayed within the limits of their respective weight categories for the event that takes place this Saturday (13)

Despite some setbacks days before the event, the welterweight (up to 77 kg) and heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) semi-finals of the PFL 2022 are confirmed. This Friday morning (12), the 26 athletes selected for the PFL 8 2022, including the eight semifinalists, won the challenge against the scales and confirmed the 13 fights for the event that takes place this Saturday (13).

Former Bellator champion and former UFC belt challenger, Rory McDonald He weighed 77,5 kg, falling within the range allowed by the welterweight division in non-title fights. Scheduled at the last minute to face the Canadian in the main fight of the afternoon, Dilano Taylor weighed 76,6 kg.

In the other welterweight semifinal, Brazilian Carlos Leal and Swedish Sadibou Sy weighed 77,5 kg.

Matheus Buffa, who replaces injured current champion Bruno Capelozza in the heavyweight semi-final, weighed 117,4 kg. Also called up at the last minute to replace Denis Gotsov, who had visa problems, Juan Adams weighed 120,2 kg, the division limit.

In the other heavyweight semi-final, the current runner-up Before Delija weighed 109,7 kg, while the Brazilian Renan Problem measured 116,5 kg.

A PFL 8 2022 takes place from 13pm at the Motorpoint Arena, in Cardiff, Wales.
