9- José Aldo (8)

The 'People's Champion' arrived in the UFC as the inaugural featherweight champion and defended the title on seven occasions before being dethroned by Conor McGregor. He later beat Frankie Edgar for the interim belt.

8- Valentina Shevchenko (8)

The flyweight champion has the same number of victories as the Brazilian, but appears ahead due to having fewer defeats in title fights. After failing in the bantamweight division, the Kyrgyz-Peruvian won the flyweight belt and now has seven defenses.

7- Randy Couture (9)

The 'Natural' was UFC champion on five occasions and in two different weight divisions (heavyweight and light heavyweight). In addition to his five wins, the American has three heavyweight title defenses.
