Famous for his unusual interviews, Derrick Lewis 'caused' in the first glance with Sergei Pavlovich before the UFC 277. After the press conference held last Thursday (29), the American heavyweight (120,2kg.) needed a simple gesture to generate concern in Dana White, who mediated the meeting between the 'giants'. The small simulation of aggression ended in laughter.
In the images (see below), it is possible to see Lewis approaching Pavlovich for the face-off. At first, the North American maintains a serious weigh-in stance. After a few seconds, the 'giant' opens his hands and immediately scares White, who was among the athletes.
The sequence was comical. Upon realizing that it was all just a joke on Derrick's part, the boss burst into laughter.
Finally, Lewis and Sergei ended up shaking hands. The confrontation between the athletes takes place on the main card of the UFC 277.
In addition to the clash between the heavyweights, this Saturday's show (30) features two title fights. In the main fight, Amanda nunes tries to regain the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.) against Julianna Pena and, in the penultimate performance of the show, Brandon Moreno e Kai Kara France face each other for the interim flyweight title (up to 56,7kg.).
