Next opponent Jake Paul, boxer Hasim Rahman Jr did not like the way the 'negotiations' for the duel were conducted. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the fighter accused his rival's team of deceiving him by insinuating that they would like to hire him as a training partner for YouTube, however, they were just trying to find out some information about his weight and physical form.

“It was a little dark. His trainer called me, and he started asking me how much I weigh, how I was feeling after my last fight, what I've been doing in the gym, how hard I've been fighting. But he was asking me under the pretense that I would come in and train with Jake as a southpaw for a fight with Anderson Silva. I'm thinking they're about to call me back and make me get on a flight to Puerto Rico to help them get to Anderson. An hour later I got a call saying they wanted to fight me. So all these questions were really trying to line me up to fight me. It was never a training situation,” Rahman Jr. said.
The boxer said he tried to make some considerations, however, Jake's team pressured him and didn't give him much time to think about a counter-proposal.
“No, you have to respond within 45 minutes, before the start of the hour, or the offer is cancelled, and you will never have the opportunity to fight back. Jake Paul again,” said Hasim.
A professional since 2017, Hasim has a record of 12 victories, six of which were by knockout, and only one defeat. The duel against Jake Paul will take place on August 06th and will be held at Madison Square Garden, in New York (USA).
