Luke Rockhold provokes Paulo Borrachinha and says he will have an 'easy fight' against the Brazilian: 'I'm going to beat this idiot'

Former middleweight champion, the North American underestimated his rival's abilities and said he does not expect to encounter difficulties in the August 20 clash

With just under two months to go until the long-awaited duel against Paulo borrachinha, former UFC champion Luke Rockhold He showed calmness and said he was not afraid of the Brazilian fighter. The North American stated that he will beat the former challenger both on the feet and on the ground and said that it will be an 'easy fight'. The statement was made in an interview with MMA Junkie. The confrontation between the two athletes is scheduled for August 20th.

Away from the Octagon since July 2019, when he was knocked out by the Pole Jan Blachowicz, Rockhold wants to prove that he is still an elite athlete in the middleweight division. Before the hiatus, Luke had lost three in his last four fights and was going through a difficult time in the organization. Former UFC and Strikeforce champion and professional athlete since 2008, the American has a record in the sport of 16 triumphs and five setbacks.
