Days away from his first title defense, Glover Teixeira does not care about disrespecting the dangers that can be imposed by Jiri Prochazka No. UFC 275. The light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), however, is sincere in comparing the challenge of facing the Czech with the duel promoted against Jon Jones, in 2014. For the Brazilian, the commitment to measure strength with the legend of the division is on another level.
“(Prochazka) does things that I wouldn't call crazy, but there are moments when he is 'crazy'. I faced athletes that I can't compare to someone like Jon Jones, the best in the history of the division. He (Jiri) has good moments, launches unpredictable attacks, situations that are difficult to handle, but he makes mistakes”, said the Minas Gerais native, in an interview with podcast 'Frank Exchange'.

This weekend, Teixeira will be able to expand his legacy in MMA as one of the greatest Brazilian representatives in the 93kg category. If he overcomes the Czech, Glover will equal Lyoto Machida, the only Tupiniquim to defend the light heavyweight belt.
Willing to end the Tupiniquim's reign in the group, Prochazka could also make history if he beats the champion on Saturday (11). The Czech can assume the throne of the category in a flash, fulfilling only his third commitment with the organization's gloves.
