When he steps into the octagon for the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 55, the Brazilian Ketlen Scallop will come face to face with a fighter who served as an inspiration for her career. At the 'half day' of the show that takes place next Saturday (21), the bantamweight athlete (up to 61,2kg) did not hide her admiration for the former champion and her happiness at heading another show in the organization.

“I admire her a lot. I watched her fights before I knew I wanted to fight in the UFC. I saw her fight Ronda when she shocked the world, and for me it's a dream come true to fight another former champion that I admire so much. I have a lot of faith in myself,” said Vieira.
After facing Miesha Tate in November, the Brazilian celebrated the fact of having another main fight in Ultimate, against another big-name opponent.
“I always dreamed of being in a UFC main event and now I have the opportunity to do it again against another elite athlete. It’s a dream come true for me”, said the athlete from Manaus.
Fifth placed in the bantamweight rankings, Ketlen is trying to put an end to the irregular sequence that has accompanied her career. In her last four fights, 'Fenômeno' won two and was defeated in two others. Professional since 2014, Vieira has a record of 12 triumphs and 2 setbacks in mixed martial arts.
