After many conversations and provocations on social networks, it seems that the return of Henry Cejudo to the UFC is really close to happening. The former flyweight (up to 56,7 kg) and bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg) champion, who has been flirting with the possibility of returning to the organization for over a year, met with Hunter Campbell and Sean Shelby, employees of the top echelon of Ultimate, and sent a warning to the bantamweight division.

“The entire UFC bantamweight division is in a huge mess. The double champion has arrived”, wrote the businessman in a publication published last Saturday (23).

If in recent months the focus of Henry Cejudo was focused on a duel against Alexander Volkanovsky for the featherweight belt, now the former champion's objective appears to be to regain the bantamweight belt, which he owns aljamain sterling.

PUBLICITY:

“I'm going back to get these cans of tomatoes and I'm going to fix everything that's wrong. ‘Aljoruim’, you’re the number one f***ing challenger,” Cejudo teased.

the provocation of Henry Cejudo did not go unanswered from Sterling. Hours later, the current belt holder responded with good humor to the challenge, making a joke with the former champion's nickname “Triple C”, referring to the two Ultimate titles and the Olympic gold won throughout his career.

PUBLICITY:

“laughter, laugher, laugher, laugher, and LAUGHTER. If he wants to lose one of those 'C's, I can happily demote him. Let me know when you’re serious, champ,” Sterling responded.

Henry Cejudo announced his retirement from MMA in May 2020, after defending the bantamweight title for the first time against the former champion Dominick Cruz.
