Former favorite of the Brazilian fans, Alex Cowboy is no longer part of the UFC. After 22 appearances for the company and going through ups and downs, the welterweight (up to 77kg) contract came to an end and ended up not being renewed. The information was released by 'MMA Junkie'.

Known for his aggressiveness in the octagon, Cowboy had good times with the organization's gloves. Between 2016 and 2017, the athlete went on an undefeated streak of five matches.
In recent years, however, Alex's situation has become more complicated. Ultimate's decision not to extend the relationship with the Brazilian can be credited to the fighter's current phase. In his last fight, in March of the 2022 season, when he faced Kevin holland, the Tupiniquim team reached the mark of four consecutive stumbles.
Always willing to put on a show, Cowboy debuted in Ultimate in March 2015, when he ended up being defeated by Gilbert Durinho. After losing on his debut, the Brazilian recovered, alternating between good and bad moments. In 22 commitments, there were 11 triumphs, 10 setbacks and one 'I didn't answer'.
Today, Alex is 34 years old. Professional in MMA since 2011, the Brazilian has, throughout his career in the sport, 22 positive results, 12 negative results, one draw and one 'I didn't answer'.
