Last week, the UFC confirmed plans to hold a quadrilogy between Deiveson Figueiredo e Brandon Moreno, winning the organization's flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg), in July. The champion, however, has different plans and has already challenged the second place in the ranking Kai Kara France, stating that he has no desire to face the Mexican again due to an alleged case of racism promoted by him and members of his team.

Deiveson's accusation is related to a live broadcast made in June 2021 by Marcelo red, training partner Brandon Moreno, who reportedly used an “Instagram” filter to call the Brazilian a “monkey”.

In a recent interview with “ESPN Deportes”, Brandon Moreno spoke about Deiveson's accusations and defended Marcelo red.

“It's just stupid. Rojo was playing with his cell phone, he was live on Instagram using a bunch of filters. It's a shame we don't have the full video because it was a live broadcast. He didn't save it. He was using filters on everyone: Dana White, my colleagues. He even used a filter on me. He was changing the filters and then a monkey filter appeared in Figueiredo. That's the truth. Then someone took a print, we don't know who, and started saying that Marcelo red It's racist. You know Marcelo and you won't let me lie. He is not racist”, guaranteed Moreno.

As for the quadrilogy against Deiveson Figueiredo, Brandon Moreno guarantees that the fight is underway, but accuses the champion of running away from the challenge.

“I've already spoken to the UFC, with the biggest guys in the organization. They told me that the fourth fight is ready. They told me not to worry, that the plan was for me to fight for the title again. But I think Deiveson is running away from me. I'm not lying. The UFC wants Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno for the fourth time. I already said yes, but the other party hasn’t yet,” said the Mexican.
