With yet another positive result for his record, the Brazilian fighter has already planned his next steps in the organization and asked for a duel against a top-5 athlete in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg).

“I'm not going to change who I am because of fame, money or anything else. I'm not that kind of guy. If I had someone I really wanted to fight, I would call him, maybe the champion, you know? But I know I won't get that chance, so any opponent in the top five, any opponent that puts me really close to the top of the mountain is what I'm ready for,” said Matheus.
Rehired by Ultimate in 2021, Nicolau has shown potential to reach the elite of the division led by the Brazilian Deiveson Figueiredo. Since his return, the Brazilian athlete has hit Manel kape, Tim Elliott e David Dvorak, respectively. The Belo Horizonte native of Minas Gerais has a record of 18 triumphs, two setbacks and one draw in professional MMA.
