North American achieves devastating knockout over compatriot in UFC Columbus main fight

Curtis blaydes showed that he has evolved his game towards a possible chance at the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg.). In the main fight of ufc columbus, event held this Saturday (26), the North American delivered an overwhelming knockout over Chris Daukas and asked for a fight against Cyryl Gane for an interim title.

With that, Blaydes is back on the radar for a title fight. In his career, there are now 15 triumphs, three setbacks and one 'no result' fight. Fourth in the rankings, the North American should move up in the heavyweight division.

The fight

Daukaus took the initiative at the beginning of the fight, with a cross and a low kick. Blaydes, in turn, measured the distance and worked with left jabs. "I want to Ciryl Gane. I want a title shot. I'm next. I want the belt. We can do this in June, July, August. And let’s go!” said Blaydes, in an interview in the Octagon.
