Ultimate's new favorite, Englishman drives the public crazy after a remarkable comeback against Rodrigo Vargas

Drama-driven. Feeling of UFC London, held this Saturday (19), in England, Paddy Pimblett scared the fans present at the O2 Arena, but staged a great comeback against Rodrigo vargas. After coming close to being knocked out at the start of the match, the new Ultimate favorite showed his recovery power and reversed the bad moment in style. After resisting his opponent's aggression, the Englishman used jiu-jitsu and found a submission in the first round.

With the result, Pimblett once again made Ultimate's bet count. Even with a controversial start, the lightweight (up to 70,3kg) reached the expected result in his planning and added the second positive result for the UFC, maintaining his unbeaten record in the company.

Frustrated in the confrontation, Vargas not only experienced an anticlimax in the event. After coming close to shocking the fans of the 'home athlete', the fighter ended up getting into trouble in Ultimate. Now, the Mexican has had three consecutive defeats.

In an interview after the official announcement, Pimblett doesn't want anything to do with rest. The athlete confirmed that he can be seen in action soon.

The fight

The fight began with Pimblett taking the initiative with a low kick. Vargas responded with a cross, which went in and squarely in the face of the Englishman, who fell. From above, the Mexican pressed and prevented his rival from recovering. Paddy managed to stand, but was still pressed against the bars by his rival. Halfway through the round, the Englishman surprised and landed a nice takedown on Rodrigo. Pimblett soon got to his back and was trying out a rear naked choke. Paddy managed to get into position and forced his rival to withdraw.
