After publicly asking for help from Henry Cejudo on social media, the athlete ended up responding by Sean O'Malley, who agreed to help the owner of the interim belt. Upon learning of the interest in the roosters' promise, Yan wasted no time. On the same social network, the Russian indicated that Sean, in fact, will be present at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena, in Jacksonville, where the duel to unify the group's belt takes place.
“A place in the corner was occupied by Sean O'Malley”, published the interim champion.
The first to be invited by Yan, Cejudo also responded to the attack. Former champion of the category, the North American indicated that he may, in fact, attend the show.
“Bring me a reinforced stool and I’ll work in your corner,” Cejudo posted.
On April 9, Yan will share the octagon again with Sterling just over a year after his disqualification that cost him the division's straight title. The protagonists of the confrontation have been provoking each other since the first clash, which confirmed Aljamain as the new owner of the throne.
