Scott Coker frustrates Adam Borics' plans and does not confirm the athlete as a challenger for the Bellator belt

The organization's president is cautious and says he will expect a rematch between AJ McKee and Patrício Pitbull for the featherweight throne

The victory of Adam Borics No. Bellator 276, held this Saturday (12), convinced Scott Coker, but did not guarantee a title fight at featherweight (up to 65,7kg.). Moments after watching the athlete's triumph against Mads Burnell, in the main fight of the show, the president adopted caution when dealing with the fighter's future. The 'big boss' chose to wait for the outcome of the rematch between A. J. McKee e Patrick Pitbull, who face each other on April 15th.

“I think he (Borics) is very close (to a title fight). The two (Adam and Burnell) are in second place in the ranking. I don't know how it happened, but the press voted. We’ll wait and see what happens, but I think Borics is at the top”, guaranteed Coker, in a press conference after the event.

This weekend, Adam climbed into the circular cage to confirm the good phase of his career and get closer to his dream title fight. In five rounds of confrontation against Burnell, the athlete managed to control his opponent and emerged victorious in the judges' unanimous decision.

With the victory, in addition to extending his undefeated streak to four triumphs, the athlete takes a closer look at his dream of challenging the champion. The athlete, however, must wait for the rematch between stars McKee and Pitbull, who are having a historic rematch in the company in the Bellator 277.
