Brazil will have two representatives fighting for belts in the UFC 275, scheduled for June 11th. After transfer the light heavyweight dispute (up to 93 kg), between Glover Teixeira and Jiri Prochazka to the card, Ultimate marked the duel between Valentina Shevchenko e Taila Santos, for the flyweight title (up to 56,7 kg) on the same night. According to the information, Valentina and Taila agreed to the proposed date. Although the card does not yet have a confirmed location, Singapore is the favorite country to host the event.
Leader of the UFC women's weight-for-pound ranking, Valentina Shevchenko remains undefeated since moving down to flyweight. The champion has eight consecutive victories in the division, including six consecutive title defenses. The last of them ended in a technical knockout in the fourth round over Lauren Murphy, UFC 266, in September of last year.
Fifth place in the division ranking, Taila Santos won the right to fight for the belt by scoring four consecutive victories, the last of which was a first-round submission over Joanne Wood, in November last year. The Brazilian's last and only defeat in her career happened precisely on her Ultimate debut, against Mara Romero Borella, in February 2019. In total, there are 19 triumphs in the 28-year-old Brazilian’s professional career.
So far, the light heavyweight and women's flyweight title fights are the only fights on the card. UFC 275.
