Debuting in the UFC octagon is always an unforgettable moment for any MMA fighter. For Denys Bondar, however, the memory will not be so good. Taking action for the first time at the opening of UFC Las Vegas 47, this Saturday (5), the Ukrainian faced Malcolm Gordon, but ended up defeated after suffering a nasty arm injury in the first round.

After suffering a judo fall from Malcolm Gordon, Denys Bondar was underneath his opponent, but with his arm resting on the ground. The Canadian applied another takedown, but the Ukrainian's arm got stuck and broke in an impressive way and he was forced to give the “three taps” and give up the fight.
The defeat in his UFC debut was only the third in the career of Denys Bondar, who has 14 career victories. The Ukrainian has not lost a fight since March 2017.
Moreover, Malcolm Gordon won the second consecutive in the UFC. The Canadian, who had beaten Francisco Figueredo in July 2021, he now has two wins and two losses in Ultimate.
