Going through a great phase in the UFC and with an eye on the top 10 in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg), André Sergipano has a confirmed date and opponents to return to the octagon. The Brazilian faces Uriah Hall in an event scheduled for April 16th. The information is from the North American website “MMA Fighting”.
Thirteenth place in the middleweight rankings, André Sergipano goes into the duel riding on eight consecutive victories, the last four in the UFC octagon. Owner of a record of 22 wins and just four losses, the jiu-jitsu specialist has three submissions followed by armbar, all of them in the first round. The Brazilian's last appearance was in UFC 269, in December, when he finished Erik Anders.
On the other side, Uriah Hall occupies ninth place in the ranking. The North American was hired by the UFC after being runner-up in the seventeenth season of The Ultimate Fighter, when he was defeated by Kelvin Gastelum in the final, but he gained the nickname “Ambulance Man” during his career. Although he did not live up to high expectations, Uriah Hall has a solid career in the octagon. In his last appearance, he was defeated by Sean Strickland, in July 2021, interrupting a streak of four victories over the likes of former champions Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman.
