Deiveson Figueiredo regained the flyweight belt in the trilogy against Brandon Moreno No. UFC 270 last Saturday (22). At the weigh-in for the match, Deiveson was one of the first to step on the scale and, at 56,2kg, passed without fear and with the same weight as his opponent for the match.
However, when replacing weight, the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) reported that the Brazilian weighed around 8,7kg. of difference the next day and competed with around 64,9kg. – 3kg. of disparity over Moreno, who weighed 61,7kg. before the confrontation.
On January 22nd, Deiveson and Moreno made history in the flyweight division. O UFC 270 ended the trilogy between the athletes. Ultimately, the dispute ended in a draw, with a victory for each side and a draw.
After 25 minutes, the Brazilian achieved victory in a unanimous decision by the judges and regained his title in the organization. In his career, 'Deus da Guerra' has a record of 20 triumphs, two setbacks and one draw in professional MMA.
