Responsible for winning the first UFC main fight of 2022, Calvin kattar discarded the use of 'trash talk' to try to jump the queue in search of an opportunity for the featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg.). In an interview with 'The MMA Hour', the American says he prefers to prove his ability through his performances in the octagon.

“A lot of guys think they can 'skip the line' for the title by talking too much and without testing themselves in the octagon, but that's not my style. I prefer to talk less and prove that I am capable. It's the only thing that matters to me before getting a title shot. Guys like (Max) Holloway and (Alexander) Volkanovski can take another stance. I’m just trying to prove that I’m the number one contender and I want to fight anyone to prove myself and get big opportunities,” said Kattar.
