Just under a year after retiring from MMA, the former Strikeforce champion Ronaldo Jacare has plans to continue his career in combat sports, but this time in the boxing ring.

In an interview with the North American website “Sherdog”, Jacaré stated that, after hanging up his MMA gloves, he was unable to break away from his training routine and already has a proposal in hand to debut in the new modality.
“I couldn’t break away from my training routine. I started training in boxing and received a fight offer that I liked”, revealed the fighter.
Despite being based on jiu-jitsu, a sport in which he was world and ADCC champion, Ronaldo Jacare he assured that he feels prepared to venture into the noble art.
“I can't say the name of the event yet. What I can say is that my boxing is already being sharpened. Even though I came from jiu-jitsu, I always loved boxing and if you see my MMA fights, I always had strong hands”, said Jacaré.
