Not working since November 2020, Rafael dos Anjos He already has a date to return to Ultimate. According to the 'ESPN' North American, the organization organized a fight between the Brazilian and the Kyrgyz and 'namesake' Raphael Fiziev for the main event scheduled to take place on February 19th.
Former champion of the category, Dos Anjos comes from a split decision victory against Paul felder, valid by UFC Las Vegas 14. The fight marked his return to lightweight after three years competing at welterweight (up to 77 kg). At 37 years old, the Brazilian has a record of 30 triumphs and 13 setbacks. Professional since 2004, he has already beaten names like Nate diaz, Anthony Pettis, Donald Cerrone, Robbie Lawler e Kevin Lee.
On the other hand, Fiziev, 28, has his request to prove himself as the organization's 'greatest Rafael' answered and gets his biggest chance of his career. Owner of a record of 11 wins and one loss, the Kyrgyz was defeated on his Ultimate debut in 2019. However, since then, he has gone on a streak of five straight victories – including a knockout via round kick over Brad Riddell, which took place in December.
