Jake Paul disputes 'failure' in pay-per-view sales in rematch against Tyron Woodley

Youtuber, however, admits that he didn't have his 'best night' in business; according to 'DAZN', the event had only 65 thousand packages purchased

Media success since he decided to venture into boxing, Jake Paul has moved large amounts of money for each fight promoted. However, in the rematch against Tyron woodley, the YouTuber did not maintain his average and, despite having a knockout, he produced 'below average' numbers.

According to 'DAZN', the second meeting between the athletes sold just 65 thousand pay-per-view packages for 'showtime' and, asked about the matter, Jake Paul disputed the numbers published by the vehicle.

“The rumored PPV (pay-per-view) numbers are bullshit. In the first fight with Woodley, we sold over 500 thousand. The numbers for the rematch are still up in the air, but they look positive. It wasn't my best night of business, but remember: Everyone wanted to see me against (Tommy) Fury”, wrote Jake on his official 'Twitter'.

The numbers even served to Jorge masvidal – who was present in the arena – ironize the fact. In a statement to 'MMA Fighting', 'Jesus das Ruas' stated that he no longer wants to have his name associated with a possible fight with Jake, after the low sales presented in the packages for his last appearance.

Although Paul admitted that he was unable to have his 'best night' in business, he scored a brutal knockout over a former UFC champion and can now aim for other big fights in the sport. In his career, the YouTuber is undefeated with five victories, including knockouts against Tyron woodley and Ben Askren.
