Away from the octagon since the tough defeat suffered by Francis Ngannou, in March 2021, which cost him the heavyweight title (up to 120,2kg.) in the UFC, Stipe Miocic resurfaced and presented a little of his other profession. A member of the Cuyahoga County Fire Department (USA), the fighter released images of fire containment training. The athlete spoke about the experience on social media.

“I had fun yesterday with the department. I had an active fire as training. It's always fun to do this, especially with other departments in neighboring cities. I learned, played and the best part was the food at the end. The cleaning part wasn’t so great, especially because the weather wasn’t on our side”, wrote the fighter, in his account on Instagram.
The North American, who divides his activities between firefighter and Ultimate fighter, hasn't stepped into the Octagon for almost a year. In his last appearance, Miocic ended up losing his position as Ultimate champion in a hard way, when he was brutalized by Ngannou.
At 39 years old and considered one of the best heavyweights of all time, Stipe has already assured that he is not thinking about retirement. The fighter, however, remains without an opponent for his return to MMA.
A professional in mixed martial arts since 2010, Miocic has had 24 clashes in the sport. Today, the fighter has 20 triumphs and four setbacks.
