On Friday night (3), in Uncasville (USA), Bellator will have an unusual confrontation. In the bantamweight belt fight (up to 61,2kg), two former Ultimate representatives will seek gold from their competitor. In the main fight, Sergio Pettis attempts his first title defense against former division champion, Kyoji Horiguchi.

A UFC fighter from 2013 to 2019, Sergio Pettis reached the top of MMA at Bellator in his third appearance for the company. On that occasion, the fighter beat the then champion, Juan Archuleta and assumed the throne.

An Ultimate athlete from the 2013 to 2016 seasons, Kyoji Horiguchi had a great time with the company chaired by Dana White. There, the fighter came to compete for the flyweight title (up to 56,7kg), losing to the legendary Demetrious Johnson. The Japanese left the company with just one negative result and in 2019, he debuted in Bellator, winning the title, which he relinquished due to recurring injuries.

At this Friday's show, Brazil will have two representatives. On the preliminary card, Vinícius de Jesus faces Levan Chokheli, while Killys Mota shares the circular cage with Mike Hamel.
