Veteran in the world of MMA, Frank mir He ventured into a new modality, but it didn't work out well. The former UFC heavyweight champion was brutally knocked out by Kubrat Pulev at Triad Combat, an event that combined Boxing and MMA. After a sequence of punches from the Bulgarian, the North American ended up 'samba' in the cage before the referee stopped the fight (see the video below).

In the fight, Pulev, who is a professional boxer, went up and landed good punches. Mir tried to defend himself, but to no avail. The former UFC champion lost his legs, performed a samba and had to hold on to the ropes to keep from falling. The central referee then stopped the duel and declared a technical knockout.

In the second most important fight of Triad Combat, another MMA veteran also left the fighting area defeated. Former UFC and Bellator fighter Matt Mitrione had a balanced fight, but lost to Alexander Flores via judges' decision. The person who 'saved' MMA's skin on the show was Mike Perry. The former UFC fighter defeated Cameroonian Sakio Bika via split decision.
