Linear champion since March 2021, Francis will make his first belt defense after dethroning Stipe Miocic. The French-Cameroonian has been on the back of five consecutive victories over the likes of Cain Velazquez, Junior Gypsy and Jairzinho Rosenstruik. The fighter has an MMA record of 16 triumphs and three setbacks.
Undefeated in professional MMA, the Frenchman Cyryl Gane won the interim title after knocking out Derrick Lewis last August. Hired by the UFC in 2019, the 'Bom Garoto' has 10 consecutive victories in his professional career.
In addition to the duel for the heavyweight belt, the card will also feature the trilogy between Brandon Moreno and the Brazilian Deiveson Figueiredo. The fight will be valid for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg).
