Former enemy, Rafael dos Anjos sends a message to Conor McGregor: 'See you in 2022'

Former lightweight champion, the Brazilian fighter challenged the Irishman on his 'Twitter' and said that he will meet him in the octagon next year

Started in 2016, the rivalry between Rafael dos Anjos e Conor McGregor added another chapter last Tuesday (16). In a post made on your 'Twitter', the Brazilian fighter made clear his desire to face the Irishman and stated that he hopes to meet him in 2022.

“We will meet without security to end the fight. See you in 2022”, wrote the Brazilian athlete on his social network.

In the post, the Brazilian fighter included a behind-the-scenes video in which he almost came to blows with McGregor. At the time, Rafael was the reserve fighter for the duel between Conor and Dustin poirier No. UFC 264, which took place in July. After weighing in for the event, the two athletes were surprised and had to be separated to prevent anything worse from happening.

The rivalry between the Irishman and the Brazilian began in 2016. At the time, Rafael was the lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) and would put his belt on the line against Conor, then leader of the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg). The two fighters even participated in a press conference to announce the long-awaited clash, however, the Tupiniquim athlete suffered a broken foot and had to be removed from the duel.
