Irish prospect, Ian Garry celebrates knockout victory in his UFC debut

Still undefeated in his career, 'Futuro' did not hide his happiness with his debut in the organization taking place at the historic Madison Square Garden

Considered a great promise in European MMA, Ian Gary celebrated his debut with the 'right foot' in UFC 268. In an interview after last Saturday's show (06), the Irishman showed confidence in continuing on the winning path and praised his debut on a big card.

“It’s overwhelming. I'm a 23-year-old young man who just made his UFC debut at Madison Square Garden, on the biggest card of the year, knocked out someone, and I couldn't be happier. I was right. I've been right since day one. When I show up, the work gets done. And no matter who is in front of me or how it happens, I will win,” said Garry.

Former welterweight champion (up to 77,1kg) of the Cage Warriors event, Ian Gary has an undefeated record of eight victories. His Ultimate debut took place in UFC 268 last Saturday with a knockout triumph over Jordan Williams. Professional since 2019, the Irishman has been very active in the profession and had his third fight of the 2021 season last Saturday.
