A meeting of legends marked the latest edition of the 'Arnold Sports Festival' in the United Kingdom. In a comical scene, Georges St-Pierre surprised Khabib Nurmagomedov with a joke. While the Russian, distracted, was giving an interview, the Canadian arrived by surprise and pretended to lock in a rear naked choke on the former UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg). GSP recorded the moment on his social networks.

“This is the only way to catch Khabib Nurmagomedov, sneak up from behind and, like a ninja, surprise him. It was great meeting you, partner”, wrote GSP, on his Instagram account.
Interestingly, a few months ago, Nurmagomedov admitted that the dream of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, who died in July 2020, a victim of Covid-19, was to promote a clash between the athletes. Today, GSP is known worldwide in the world of mixed martial arts as one of the best of all time.
Unfortunately, for many, the duel never got off the ground. While Georges has not acted professionally since 2017, when he won the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg.) against Michael Bisping, Khabib announced his retirement in October of last season.
Out of action, Nurmagomedov has stood out as a coach, following in his father's footsteps. St-Pierre, in turn, was recently included in the Ultimate 'Hall of Fame'.
