“How can you say 'no' to that? The winner takes all”, said Belfort, when asked by the conductor of the press conference after the show about the veracity of the offer of US$40 million (approximately R$210 million) for a super fight against Canelo Álvarez.
Afterwards, Vitor revealed that there are other possibilities. At 44 years old, he wants to continue competing in boxing.
“If Oscar (De La Hoya) wants, we can do it too,” admitted Belfort, before naming his favorite opponent. “Jake Paul. He deserves. He is choosing his opponents. (…) Now, he can’t say no to me. I need to teach him a lesson”, assured the Brazilian.
Against Holyfield, Vitor resumed his career as a competitor. The former UFC champion has not performed since 2018, when he lost to Lyoto Machida, in the confrontation that ended his career in Ultimate.
