Infographic: Mutante hit more, Sarafian was more forceful and takedowns may have defined the fight

The long-awaited fight between Cezar Mutante and Daniel Sarafian took place at UFC Fight Night 32, held last Saturday (09), in Goiânia. At the end of three very even rounds, Mutante won a split decision from the judges.

Although a large part of the specialized press agreed with the result, a large part of the public present at the Goiânia Arena booed the decision. According to the duel numbers, Mutante landed more blows, 56 against 31. But, on the other hand, Daniel was the one who struck more significantly. The athlete from São Paulo landed 21 blunt blows and received 15.

On the other hand, the falls may have defined the duel and Cezar had the advantage in this regard. The winner of the first edition of TUF Brasil managed to take down his rival on three occasions and was not caught by his rival throughout the fight.
