First placed in the official ranking of the lightweight category, Khabib Nurmagomedov was not at all happy with the news that Conor McGregor will challenge the current weight champion, Eddie Alvarez, in the main fight of UFC 205, in New York (USA), on November 12th.

The Russian, previously identified by Dana White as next in line for the belt, harshly criticized the organization's decision. “When I signed a contract with the UFC, it was a sport. Now it has become a horror show, or whatever I can call it”, he vented on his social networks.
Furthermore, Nurmagomedov spared no criticism of Alvarez himself. “I have two contracts with me that that s*** champion refused to sign. I was used the whole time to get Conor and Eddie to get down on their knees and beg [for the fight]. For the record, Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor is afraid of me. I'm just a man. The time will come for you to feel my hands”, she said.
McGregor will attempt to become the only athlete in UFC history to hold two belts simultaneously in the organization. The Irishman is the featherweight champion, but has not yet defended his title in the category. Alvarez has held the UFC lightweight title since July, when he beat Rafael dos Anjos.
