Kid Yamamoto negotiates with UFC

After the UFC merged with the WEC and incorporated the lighter weight categories, several names have been considered to join the roster of athletes in the organization's featherweight and bantamweight divisions. This Wednesday, a Japanese idol was announced as a possible addition to the Ultimate casting.

According to a report from the North American website MMA Junkie, Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto is in advanced negotiations with the UFC. Also according to the report, the Japanese player's debut, if the agreement is signed, would be in February or March 2011.

“Kid” Yamamoto has an MMA record of 18 wins and just 3 losses, the Japanese's greatest achievement being the featherweight belt of the now extinct K-1 Heros.
