Increasingly closer to a title fight in the middleweight category, the Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare will have to postpone his duel against Yoel romero, initially scheduled for UFC 184, on February 28th. On Thursday night (15), the Ultimate organization announced that Jacaré will not be able to fight in the event due to pneumonia.

With the output of Ronaldo Jacare x Yoel romero, the UFC 184 card – headlined by middleweight belt disputes, between Chris Weidman e Vitor belfort, and women's bantamweight, between Ronda Rousey e Zingano cat – now he only has 11 fights. The expectation is that the duel between Jacaré and Romero will be rescheduled, but there is still no estimated date for this to happen.
Ronaldo Jacare, 35 years old, has a professional record of 21 wins, just three defeats and one fight without result. Former champion of the extinct Strikeforce, Jacaré is undefeated since his debut in Ultimate, having accumulated triumphs over Chris Camozzi, Yushin Okami, Francis Carmont and Gegard Mousasi. Currently, the Espírito Santo is second in the official middleweight rankings, behind only the champion Chris Weidman and compatriot Anderson Silva.
