In his third fight in the UFC, Hacran Dias will already have a tough challenge ahead of him. “Barnabé”, as he is known, will face Ricardo Lamas, former challenger for the featherweight belt, at UFC Fight Night 44, which will take place this Saturday (28) in San Antonio, in the United States.
However, the Brazilian fighter at least had respectful support in preparations for the fight. An athlete at the Nova União academy, he had the opportunity to exchange experiences with his teammate José Aldo, champion of the category and who was precisely the last opponent faced by Lamas. Additionally, Aldo is also preparing to defend his title in August, which has helped Dias' training.
“Besides the fact that he is training to defend his belt, we are very good friends. Aldo gave some advice, game tactics, to defeat Lamas. In the last fight between them, I watched, cheered and cheered a lot with the victory of my friend, who is the best in the category. Then, during this period of preparation I had, I also took the opportunity to ask for some things to improve in order to emerge victorious”, said the fighter.
Like Lamas, Dias will also try to recover from the defeat in his last fight. In May last year, he was defeated by Nik lentz in the judges' decision. “These types of defeats happen. It was a tough fight, as they all are in MMA. I ended up losing, but I know my potential and that I can turn things around by beating Lamas. I train at the best gym in Brazil and it gives me all the structure to never lower my head. I’m ready to leave the octagon with this victory”, concluded the fighter.
